Briana Knox

Briana Knox practices in the following areas of law: Family Law and Guardianship/Conservatorship.

Education: University of Alabama School of Law, J.D.; Pennsylvania State University, B.S. Psychology; Minor in Spanish.

Affiliations: Virginia State Bar, Virginia Bar Association, Washington, D.C. Bar, Loudoun Bar Association and Fairfax Bar Association.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Knox practiced for two years with a large, international law firm based in Washington, D.C. She specialized in white collar investigations, representing individuals, corporations and universities under investigation and/ or prosecution by the federal government. Ms. Knox was also heavily involved in pro bono work at her previous firm, assisting several domestic violence survivors in obtaining protection orders.

In law school, Ms. Knox was an editor on the Alabama Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Team—where she won the regional award for Best Oralist. Additionally, Ms. Knox participated in the domestic violence clinic, helping indigent persons obtain protection from abuse.

Should the need arise, Ms. Knox is able to communicate with clients in Spanish. In college, she minored in Spanish and spent a full semester studying at La Universidad de Sevilla, the principal university in Seville, Spain, and lived fully-integrated with a Spanish family.
