Jennifer D. Education: Ms. Cisneros obtained her Juris Doctorate from American University Washington College of Law, in Washington, DC, where she graduated cum laude. She obtained her B.A. in economics and a certificate in accounting at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. She also attended Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Laboratory High School, in Chicago, Illinois.

Ms. Cisneros Came to the practice of law after a successful career in finance. She worked as an options trader on the Chicago Board of Options Exchange from 1985 until 1993. She then located to Connecticut and worked as a financial analyst, developing financial models for investment banks in New York City and Chicago. Following the birth of her second son, she enrolled in law school at Brooklyn Law School before transferring to American University, Washington College of Law where she was a member of the Moot Court Board and a participant in the 2003 Mediation Moot Court Competition. Ms. Cisneros graduated from law school with honors. Ms. Cisneros has lived in Northern Virginia since 2001 and has been active in the community, severing a director on various charitable boards, and member of several organizations. Over the years, Ms. Cisneros has been an active participant and mentor in the Loudoun County Leadership in the Law Camp for local high school students. Ms. Cisneros is a strong advocate for victims of domestic violence and frequently represents such victims in Virginia courts.
Ms. Cisneros lives with her three twenty-something sons that never cease to entertain (and frustrate) her, her stepdaughter, and various animals that find themselves calling her home theirs. When not working, she enjoys traveling around the world, but finds the most peace at her home on Oak Island, NC.
